Camera Ready Side View Box

Please Note: This is a Camera Ready Nest Box. It does NOT include a camera but has appropriate fittings to house one of our camera systems.   

This Gardenature designed side view nest box offers market leading quality and value for money. The box is hand built in our own workshops from high grade Western Red Cedar (sourced from well managed forests) and follows guidelines suggested by the RSPB and British Trust for Ornithology. The Odd Box has a 32mm entrance hole making it suitable for the widest range of garden birds including:

• Blue Tits
• Coal Tits
• Marsh Tits
• Great Tits
• House Sparrows

You may read in various publications that the entrance hole must be a particular size to attract a specific species of bird (eg. 25mm for Blue Tits etc). However, these are purely GUIDELINES and our experience has shown (in consultation with the RSPB) that a 32mm hole will not deter Blue Tits, or any of the other small hole nesting garden birds, in the slightest. Using a 32mm hole maximises the chances of a pair of birds nesting in the box, which is the key point if you want to be able to use your camera!

By removing five screws the front and top panel of the odd box can be completely taken off allowing open and easy access for cleaning out.

Inside, there is a camera devider and a quick release camera mounting bracket which seperates and houses the camera in the optimum position.

Please Note: This nest box is designed for use with COLOUR or Black and White cameras. It has a small, slightly opaque perspex window on the top of the box which allows just enough natural daylight inside to produce clear colour images.
